Maryann Myers, age 77, of 513 Ada Ave, Tomahawk passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 following a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis at her home under the care of Ministry Home Hospice and her daughters. Maryann was born on October 1, 1937 in Tomahawk to Peter and Getty (Bebeau) Pickett. She married Ernest Myers, Jr. on January 29, 1955, Junior passed away in 2000. Maryann attended St. Mary Catholic School and graduated from Tomahawk High School. She worked as a waitress for many years, she worked on the St. Mary Funeral Luncheon Committee for many years, volunteered at the Tomahawk Historical Society, and Treehaven. She was a member of the Ladies Tuesday night bowling league for 38 years, she was the longtime director of Tomahawk Women's Bowling Association and secretary for 10 years. Maryann's pleasures were bowling, bingo, reading, fishing on Lake Superior, and, most of all, time spent with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include, Her best friend and companion, Mike Gillette Tomahawk Children, Curt (Terry) Myers, Hurley Cindy (Jeff) Loertscher, Woodruff Roni Chiolino, Woodruff Denise (Terry) Heap, Oswego, IL Corey Myers, Hazelhurst Siblings, Jim (Joan) Pickett, Sebring, Fl Judy (Gary) White, Tomahawk Dick (Aida) Pickett, West Palm Beach, FL Ken (Sherri) Pickett, Merrill Joe (Joanie) Pickett, Tomahawk John (Dorlene) Pickett, Hayward, WI Maryann is further survived by 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Junior, and a sister, Kathy. A Memorial Mass for Maryann Myers will be offered on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Mary Catholic Church. Fr. John Anderson will officiate. The family will receive friends at St. Mary Church Wednesday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11.
