Marie Farrand

Marie Farrand, age 91, a long-time Tomahawk resident, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Bell Tower Residence in Merrill. Marie was born August 9, 1923 in Marathon, the daughter of Alphonse and Frieda (Kruesel) Ruplinger. She married Melroy Farrand on October 15, 1942 in Tomahawk; he passed away April 12, 1991. Marie was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Tomahawk. Survivors include: children, Bill (Gloria) Farrand and Mary Jean Weiss, both of Florida; siblings, Ralph Ruplinger, of Tomahawk, Betty (Don) Schmit, of Tomahawk, Maline (Carl) Martin, of Tennessee, Berdella (Ed) Bogard, of Appleton. Marie is further survived by grandson - David Weiss. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Melroy, brother - Alvin, sisters - Dorothy Schmit and Evelyn Ammatoski, son-in-law - Roland Weiss, and grandson - James. A Memorial Service for Marie Farrand will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. The family will receive friends at funeral home on Friday the 24th from 9:00 AM until the hour of service at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Tomahawk.
