Elaine M. Gudgeon, age 92, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 15, 2015 at the Golden Living - Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
Elaine was born on October 28, 1922 in Hibbing, Minnesota to Arnott and Eleanore (Aeschiliman) Widstrand. She grew up and graduated from Hibbing High School and in 1940 moved to LaFarge, Wisconsin. She was married to Charles A. Gudgeon on November 13, 1941, he passed away in 1981. Elaine had attended UW Platteville and graduated with a teaching degree. She also had lived for a few years in Tomah, Wisconsin. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, traveling all over the world and playing the piano. Elaine wrote two genealogy books and also had her life story published.

Robert Gudgeon of Wyoming
Mark (Maribeth) Gudgeon of Gilbert, AZ
She is further survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Arnott Widstrand, Jr. and John Widstrand.
The Funeral for Elaine Gudgeon will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Pratt Funeral Home in LaFarge, Wisconsin, 203 N. State Street, at 1:00 PM. The Visitation will take place from 12:00Noon until the time of service at 1:00PM. Burial will be immediately following the service in the Bear Creek Cemetery, LaFarge, WI.
