Carolyn Selle

Carolyn Mae Selle, age 68, of Tomahawk, a much-loved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt, passed away peacefully at home with family beside her on September 1, 2014. Carolyn was born July 13, 1946 in Appleton, Wisconsin to William A. and Ruth (Raisler) Selle. She graduated from Appleton High School and the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Carolyn married Joe Lintereur on July 23, 1983 in Madison, and they shared 31 wonderful years together in Vermont, and Tomahawk, Wisconsin. Carolyn loved life and wanted everyone to be happy, especially children; she spent nearly 30 years in early childhood development. She loved nature, her flower garden, all animals, the stars, music, and listening to WOJB. She enjoyed reading and all her friends at the Tomahawk Public Library, as well as spending time with older people and hearing their stories. She loved her farm house where she and Joe lived for 25 years. Carolyn was a gentle soul, who taught everyone she touched to be loving, kind, thoughtful, forgiving, and how to give big hugs. Carolyn is survived by her husband Joe Lintereur; her daughter and son, Elizabeth (Mike) Berthod, Riverton, Wyoming, and Jesse (Dione) Lenz, Fort Collins, Colorado, and their father, Ron Lenz; three grandchildren, Heron and Sora Lenz and Sadie (Zeb) Clark; two great grandchildren, Quinton and Emberly Clark. Carolyn is further survived by three sisters and their families: Susan (Timothy) Bottoms, Alamo, California, Kathi Seifert, Appleton, Wisconsin, and Mary (Wayne) Bolla, Orange Park, Florida; Joe's seven siblings and their families, many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, William A. and Ruth Selle. At the request of Carolyn, there will be no memorial service.
