Sidney “Sid ” Fennema, age 84, died suddenly on August 11, 2012 in Wausau at the Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Sid was born on February 22, 1928 in Kenosha, WI the son of Albert and Frances (VanDeLune) Fennema. He married his wife Ruth nearly 65 years ago on September 17, in Kenosha. He supervised the manufacturing of hospital furniture with Simmons Mattress Company for 38 years before retiring in 1980. Sid vacationed with his family in Tomahawk for many years before moving there permanently 14 years ago. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, hunting but his greatest passion was for his family. Sid was a member of the Northland Bible Church and a former member of the Kenosha Elks Club.

Sid Fennema is survived by his wife Ruth, of Tomahawk.

A Memorial Service with Military Rites for Sid will held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Krueger Family Funeral Home in Tomahawk. Pastor Alex Lindsay will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home from 9:00AM until the time of services at 11:00AM.
